Part of The Untold Stories Project funded by Roots and Wings and The James Reckitt Library Trust – The Stranger’s Tale is based at The Open Doors, Princes Avenue, Hull.

Photographer and artist Quentin Budworth has worked with people from the Open Doors community to collect and encourage the creation of stories, drawings, writings voice recordings, music, songs and photographs of the untold and largely unheard stories. He has worked with the community to record, document edit and curate their rich tapestry of diverse human experience and narrative into a final exhibition which celebrates life in Hull as experienced through the eyes of a stranger.

With Stories of human kindness, joy, alienation, discrimination and connection the final exhibition will feature collages created digitally and annotated photographs of the ‘Stranger’s Tale’ – to be exhibited at the Central Library for 2 weeks at the beginning of November 2015 and then for two weeks until December 1st at the Open Doors Project.

The digital artworks, photographic portraits, audio and text will be stored online here and at the Untold Stories Archive.Untold Stories is part of Roots and Wings a Creative People and Places Project funded by Arts Council England and the James Reckitt Library Trust.
